Gifts of Stock, Securities and Mutual Fund Share

Making a gift of appreciated stock, securities or mutual fund shares can be very advantageous from a tax point of view and quite easy to do. Also you may designate EBI as beneficiary on your life insurance and/or retirement accounts (e.g. IRA or pension).

Making a bequest in your will or living trust is also an excellent way to help us build our new endowment fund. You may designate East Bay Innovations as beneficiary of part of your estate.

Pam Steneberg Memorial Endowment Fund

Established in 1994, East Bay Innovations has been recognized repeatedly as a leader in providing quality services to people with developmental disabilities. Our vision now is to ensure the long-term health and growth of the organization by establishing an endowment fund.

The fund will enable us to become proactive in continuing our excellent programs and developing distinctive new services. The endowment will build our resources to:

1. Serve as an unrestricted source of funds to act as a buffer against major unanticipated costs (e.g. state budget cuts).

2. Fund specific projects not covered by existing funding sources.

3. Create new and innovative projects

As a supporter of EBI, your commitment can help us by:

Making a substantial contribution to the endowment fund. Contributions may be made in cash, appreciated stock, gifts of real estate, etc.
Including EBI as a beneficiary in your long term financial plans, i.e. wills, trusts, insurance policies.

As a contributor to the endowment fund, you share our determination to make the vision for a secure and rewarding future for people developmental disabilities a reality far into the future.

EBI Endowment Fund is managed by RBC Dain-Rauscher and funds are invested in Calvert Socially Responsible Mutual Funds.

Now You Can Donate Your Vehicle with Proceeds Going to EBI

EBI has connected with Car Donation Services (CDS) to help us with vehicle donations. Now vehicle donations are a very popular way to support your favorite non-profit . CDS handles donations of cars, RV’s and boats and makes your life a lot easier by coordinating all aspects of the your vehicle donation. Its an easy way to get a charitable gift deduction for your taxes. If you are interested in donating a vehicle to EBI please contact CDS at 888-6TO-GIVE and let them know that the proceeds should go to EBI.

Remember the “eScrip Program” as an Easy Way to Give

eScrip is an easy way for non-profits to raise funds through everyday purchases made at eScrip merchants. There are over 150 eScrip merchant partners and if you designate EBI as your non-profit, the merchant partner will donate a percentage of your purchase to us. Merchant partners include Andronico’s, Whole Foods, Macy’s, Eddie Bauer, Baja Fresh, Claim Jumper Restaurant, OfficeMax and many more.
